Concrete Frisbee Challenge

Team Size: 3

Event Description

The Concrete Frisbee Challenge is a hands-on innovation competition that encourages students to explore lightweight cementitious composites, thin concrete elements, and aerodynamic form design. Participants are challenged to design, fabricate, and test a flyable concrete Frisbee that demonstrates a balance between strength, weight, durability, and flight performance. This competition promotes design thinking, experimentation, teamwork, and applied engineering skills beyond the traditional classroom.

Rules

The Frisbee must be entirely cast using cementitious materials

Pre-manufactured or commercially available discs are strictly prohibited

The Frisbee must be hand-thrown only, Mechanical launching devices are not allowed
