Team Size: 4

Event Description

CIVIHACK is a 24-hr design and innovation focused challenge organized by Department of Civil Engineering, SVECW that invites participants to rethink compact living through the lens of innovation, sustainability, and civil engineering creativity. Participants will be designing and building a Prototype model of a sustainable Tiny House (≤ 300 sq. ft.) for two people, integrating creativity, functionality, mobility/permanence, and off-grid living concepts. Participants will focus on innovative spatial planning, site selection, sustainability, and user-centric design, culminating in a conceptual prototype. The event promotes practical thinking, design innovation, and real-world problem solving aligned with modern housing needs.

Rules

Participants will explore how smart design choices can transform limited spaces into meaningful living environments, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility. Details related to design constraints, evaluation, and execution will be revealed on the day of the competition, making CIVIHACK an exciting platform for creativity, strategy, and on-the-spot innovation.
